Companion watch cleverly connects you to the people that care about you.
If things go wrong or Companion detects an issue, various alerts and alarms can be set to raise help quickly through your support network.
How it works...
When you buy a Companion we setup your support network contacts and alert distribution settings.
If your Companion detects an issue like a fall, or you press the SOS button, it will broadcast the alert using its built-in network connection.
The Companion service will then deliver the alert via a phone call, email, and app, based on the alert distribution settings you have chosen.
You can modify the support network contact details and alert distribution settings at any time using your Companion app.
What's monitored...
Companion is personalised to the needs and outcomes of the wearer by monitoring either some or all of these features...
SOS button
If you press the dedicated emergency SOS button, alerts and a voice call are automatically triggered.
Falls detection
If you have a hard fall and you don't cancel the on screen prompt, an alert is raised.
Lost network connectivity
The Companion service will raise an alert if the watch becomes disconnected from the network.
Wandering alerts
If needed, alerts can be raised if the Companion leaves the safety of the 'home' or a virtual area boundary.
Low or empty battery
Alerts are raised to help ensure the watch is always charged.
Periods of no movement
Helping you avoid sedentary periods with on-screen prompts and alerts.
How alerts are distributed...
Mobile notification alerts
The Companion app will raise notification alerts on any device where the app is installed throughout the support network. The notification provides more detail within the app.
Telephone call alerts
Companion will cleverly call the agreed support network contacts, and when prompted, a call with the watch is initiated.
Email alerts
Companion email alerts provide enough detail to help the support network, without the need to log into the app or web portal.
